The primary assets of our community are the people who are its members, and our membership process reflects this.

Membership is open to all who are willing to subscribe to the aims and rules of the co-operative, but it is particularly targetted at people with low and moderate incomes.

The membership application process takes a minimum of six months to ensure that people are familiar with the obligations as well as benefits of membership and that they have maximum opportunity to learn whether eco-village life will suit them.

Like all co-operatives, the community has "active membership" provisions – in our case requiring involvement in the management and maintenance of the community, and the life of the community generally.

A process for people wishing to cease membership enables shares to be sold to joining members at their paid-up value.
