The process of forming a cooperative community requires the time and thought of those people wanting to found it.

Over the next few months, we would anticipate the following actions will be involved, not necessarily in order.

• Advertise and gather interest
• Meet and discuss ideas
• Get to know each other
• Develop formal prospectus for formation of cooperative
• Look for suitable land
• Choose a name
• Generate support within the wider community
• Develop planning proposal for community and for submission to council
• Explore financing options
• Develop business plans for community-based employment, and other community activities
• Develop operating principles and practices to serve the community into the future.
